Rialto 65

The Sony Cinema Line is a unified camera ecosystem that celebrates Sony’s ongoing investment in the cinema industry and its commitment to delivering tools that diversify the creative possibilities of filmmakers worldwide. Now, a new toolkit joins the Sony ecosystem, offering cinematographers a historic capture format designed for the movie theater. 

 

Expanding on this long-term commitment to filmmakers and the cinematic arts, Sony is announcing the development of the RIALTO 65, a new 65mm format image sensor block for the VENICE 2, scheduled for release in the first half of 2027.

Creamsource Vortex 2

The Vortex2 and Vortex2 Soft bring the Vortex platform into a compact and highly adaptable form factor. Designed to move easily between setups, both fixtures combine the same CreamOS workflow, RRGBBW colour engine, rugged IP65 construction, and colour consistency found across the Vortex family.

 

The Vortex2 delivers directional punch through a native 20° beam while the Vortex2 Soft provides broad, even coverage through a native 110° spread. Fixtures this size tend to move around more once they arrive on set, and that’s where the V2 Series starts to make a lot of sense.

 

 

Multiple rigging options and a wide range of lenses and modifiers allow the V2 Series to take on different roles from one setup to the next.

The HEKTOR lenses are built in the style of the 1980s and 90s, using only spherical elements to create some of the older feeling characteristics.
